We’ve been blessed to connect with some powerhouse femme entrepreneurs lately who are connecting the dots between the growing Cannabis industry, intimacy and sexuality.

This episode, featuring Van der Pop Founder April Pride, takes us on the journey of a creative woman, entrepreneur and mother who is following the energy to design and sell Cannabis products for women in an industry that tends to focus way too much on the bros.

Because we’re both Moms, we go deep into a conversation about consumption, parenting and how/when to come clean with your kids in this digital age. We’re also diving into April’s journey as a designer and entrepreneur who’s not only discovered a sweet spot in the world of Cannabis, but also the different ways that Cannabis, in it’s many forms, can increase intimacy, bonding and sexual connection between you and your partner(s).

This is another POWERFUL episode of Ignite Intimacy!! Definitely tune in to get inspired, jazzed and turned on by the possibilities that exist as we dive deeper into this intimate journey.

Join me as I have a rare in-person conversation with spiritual relationship, sex coach, and "heart surgeon of energy" Gina Marie.

We're going in on how stored sexual stress or trauma can hold us back from fully experiencing life, sex and relationships. We also explore how to integrate this stress or trauma so that we can use the pain to empower ourselves and stand on our own two feet.

Listen in for tools and tips to unravel stress through our own breath, cutting through the complicated stickiness of any area of life, and the impact of the recent #MeToo movement on episode 47, Releasing Sexual Trauma with Gina Marie.

About Gina Marie:

width=250

Inspired to travel the world after college graduation, Gina Marie found a deep calling to explore the esoteric and spiritual world. While learning from masters and shamans in places like South America and India, she realized that the key to her own awakening was within herself, and that her true calling was to serve people and to support them in their process of freedom and awakening.

Now working mainly with sexual stress and sexual trauma, Gina Marie brings people together and creates a space in which they can be present with each other through breath, sound, and movement.

Gina loves leading modern day rituals inspired by her travels, and has exciting plans in the works to let her voice be heard even more this year.

Ladies, why are we so afraid to ask for what we want in the bedroom?

This week on the Ignite Intimacy podcast I'm talking to sex educator Kim Sedgwick, co-founder of Red Tent Sisters, about the female tendency to put others first and not take time to consider and express their own desires and needs. We're talking about opening up the channels of communication in the bedroom, and prioritizing all different kinds of pleasure, not just orgasm.

Learn the beauty of letting go of your fears, saying goodbye to those pesky hangups, being fully seen for all of you, and creating true connection and intimacy with the right people (for you!).

About Kim:

width="150"

Growing up Toronto, Canada, in a very sex positive atmosphere, Kim always felt comfortable asking questions and having discussions about sex. After majoring in English and Gender & Women's Studies, Kim and her sister Amy founded Red Tent Sisters to teach women how to manage their fertility naturally through the Justisse Method, and helping them feel sexually empowered.

Kim aims to change the definition of the passive "nice girl", and teach women about the confidence that comes from knowing your boundaries and creating deep connections because of it. Currently working in Toronto, Kim also works in continuing education and advocacy for sexuality and gender issues.

In this episode we explore Destin Gerek's journey to discover his true masculine, first using costume as a "mask" to create a persona to help bring out the core essence that lives underneath.

We discuss gender dynamics, and the loss and confusion some men may feel in this time of the rise of the woman, leading some to resentment and anger, others to disempowerment.

So, how can men passionately manifest their biggest dreams with women and sexuality? How can they find and carry power instead of fighting for power? And how can they use this power to become better, responsible men who show up in a way that is real, true, sensual and passionate? Tune in for the answers on episode 43 of the Ignite Intimacy podcast, Men + Sexuality + Dating with Destin Gerek.
